I'm twenty days late with this, I know, but I took part in that thing
they call Copenhagen Fashion Week. On friday I went on Danish TV to talk
trends and if everything turns out as the catwalks predict, I can't wait! Even though
it already has kind of started, we are going to be playing a lot more around with
different materials in very sporty cuts. I not sure why, but wearing materials like neoprene
and laces is just so much more fun and inspiring - it allows you to blur the lines
between right and wrong and you can end up a much more personal look.
I really think that the new Danish designers have a lot to offer
in this area!
First of all the two menswear designers Asger Juel Larsen and Jean//phillip showed a lot
of bare skin but certainly a great amount of relaxed sportswear pieces with a slight feminine
touch to some of the styles also. Finally somebody is challenging the Danish menswear. Once
again Anne Sofie Madsen put her technical skills and mechanic motocross-inspired womenswear
on the catwalk. Freya Dalsjö topped off and ended the week for me with an only
three-model-catwalk lead by Lindsey Wixson. A very intense line of
Bauhaus-inspired robes that kept adding materials and volume.
Absolutely amazing!

.. And with fashion week out of the way for this time, I'm ready to embrace the fall!

... And now it's about time to return to the blog and say hello again!
I'm currently in the process of trying out some of my own design ideas in different
textiles and decided to make my very own outfit for the first day of fashion week.
In my recent obsession with feminine fabrics normally reserved for women's wear
I went for a full white laces look. Combined with the sporty fit and paired with
the Saint Laurent shoes it turned out perfectly - a very great start of
Copenhagen Fashion Week!

Wauuw - things have been a bit crazy since last week! Sitting wednesday morning,
very early, half-sleeping in my ordinary coffee-and-checking-mails routine, I accidentally
opened a request for an interview from what I thought was a random street style blog.
After rubbing my eyes and reading the mail over and over again, I realized that it was a bit
bigger than my first impression. I was asked to do an interview with Wall Street Journal!
Seriously, that Wall Street Journal? .. Oh yes!
Since then everything has gone very fast. After the article was published the danish
press have been all over me and I've got a lot of jobs during the coming fashion week
and coming future. I'm so grateful about the interest and I really want to say thank you
to everyone who made this come true, to everyone who follow me here on the
blog and to all my nearest and dearest. Thanks from the bottom of my heart!

Now, Copenhagen Fashion Week is at the doorstep. I don't think there is nothing
left for me to say than see you out there!

While the heat continues the work continues - and that suits me perfect!
I'm all around the city these days preparing clothes for tons of fashion shoots.
Or, trying at least. I actually really love being on the run in a heat like this, but sometimes
it just doesn't work that way. The other day, wearing this relaxed dungaree and
divine vintage Chanel necklace, it felt like there couldn't be no other agenda than
attending a pool party with cold drinks and half-naked dancing people.
So I did!

Well, now I'm way behind work and off for yet another shoot. Enjoy!

Another little postcard from me to all of you! Chatêau de Versailles
must be one of the most fantastic places I have ever seen. Open-mouthed
I spend hours admiring one golden room after another - could I get this as my
mansion, please? After the walk through the palace my friends and I took our basket
full of delicious french specialties for a picnic in the gardens bigger than
Copenhagen! Just a wonderful way to spend a day .. or the rest of your life.
If you visit Paris, Chatêau de Versailles is a must-see!

After some really intense days of sightseeing wonderful Paris I decided to
put on one of my favorites - the suit. It is quite funny how you can feel really
relaxed in something that is supposed to be as tight and uncomfortable as a suit.
But you do. At least I do! I think it must be the same as those women who can't
seem to relax without their sky-high stilettos. Anyway, in this look I was
all ready to conquer Paris and ended up at the fantastic Houte Couture Exhibition
at Hôtel de Ville and a bit of shopping in the early night.
Paris, you have treated me well!

bonjour

Back home in grey Copenhagen with the memory-bag full of
love found in Paris ... and the shopping-bags filled as well! This was my
first visit in beautiful La Ville-Lumière and seriously - what's not to love? Eight days
of cheese and chic old ladies in Chanel have turned my life around and
from the end of this post I'll begin to dress Copenhagen with
bits of Paris. First step will be to buy a baguette and
werk it like a ten-thousand-dollar bag!

Paris - I'm in love. You'll see me soon again!

I've been down with the always expected summer-flu
the last couple of days and a moment of misery is always the perfect way for me to gain
sort of insight into big or small things in life. This time mens closets was
the topic. At least my own.

Well, there I was, laying in bed, all snotty, drinking the most evil cocktail of
oranges, carrots, ginger and way too much garlic while watching Sex and the City all over again.
And yes, even though you've seen it about 520 times you can still get something out it.
It might have been the four girls and their glittering Manolo Blahniks or just my own dreadful
I'm-all-alone-and-ill briefs, I don't care, but a question popped up my head. I know it isn't
a new revolutionary question, more a cliche, but why the hell are every single man who
wants to dress up a bit forced to wear nothing else than a suit and a tie? I know there's
an issue about looking too gay - even for me - and still want to be seen as a
masculine man. But seriously, does it has to be that boring?
I'm done with it!

Boys, grab your balls and wear that Versace bag!

Bonjour saturday! Last month of spring has gone by and summer is here.
I'm up for a really hectic month - first with a lot of shoots and then fashion week
and vacation with best friends in Paris! I have always felt that summer is that time
of year that brings most adventures and I know that this one
won't be an exception. Bring it on!
